Wednesday, July 1

It's 8 a.m. Utah time and 10 a.m. MD time. I sitting in the hotel lobby while everyone else is sleeping, because I'm supposed to have a phone interview sometime this morning. I woke up around 7 a.m. and thought that I should get up and have a little coffee before I try to talk about school stuff. I hope that I can still remember what I do at work! The position is at Middletown Middle School, which would be a lot closer to home than I am now. But I really like Brunswick Middle which is my current school, so whatever happens will be good. It's kind of crazy to think that we could be driving through Utah while I interview for a job in Maryland.
We have spent the last three nights in Moab, Utah. It's a nice little town, and there are lots of neat things to do here. While staying here we went to Arches National Park and took our raft ride down the Colorado. We also swam a lot at the hotel's outside pool and just took a break from driving so much. But today we're going to drive down to Bryce Canyon. It's about a 5 hour trip. We have a few stops we would like to make along the way, so we hope to get there by early evening. Then tomorrow I'm hoping to get us on a 2-hour mule trip down into the canyon. We are again excited to have a new adventure.

  2. So glad you are enjoying Utah. It is scenic, wherever you look. We went to Salt Lake City to the Temple...all I really remember is the beautiful gardens...You can/could attend a practice of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It is wonderful to hear. It used to be on Wednesday.
